Velo Wines, nestled at the gateway to Tasmania’s Tamar Valley, located only 15 mins from Launceston, is a boutique vineyard steeped in history and heart. Established in 1966 as Legana Estate and home to some of the island’s oldest Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz vines, Velo blends old-world charm with cool-climate precision. Each small-batch wine — from elegant Pinot Noir to vibrant Chardonnay — is handpicked and handcrafted to reflect the purity of its Tasmanian terroir. Visitors are welcomed daily at the cellar door to experience the wines firsthand, complemented by Timbre Kitchen, the on-site restaurant known for its seasonal menus and local ingredients. Velo is more than a vineyard — it’s a distinctly Tasmanian experience in every glass, with an extensive portfolio - something for everyone.

The Velo Wines portfolio is extensive with something for everyone.
